Busy Times...

Hi Ladies.

Sorry for the MIA status lately, but I have been having extremely busy weeks, and it doesn't stop until Friday next week. So what have I been up to? Remember a few posts ago where I had trouble fitting into my races dress and broke it and also the back up didn't fit and had to race and buy another one, (ohhhh, hate to be reminded of that) well anyway I have done something about it (had to, believe me) I have been taking a boot camp class 2 nights a week and this is our 5th and final week, I am loving it there are sooooo many different levels of fitness in our group and the trainers are very professional yet everyone is achieving fantastic results. I don't know if I have lost any weight (Thursday will be my test) but I am feeling soooooo much better and also loving the fact that I can now run and look forward to the hard training sessions. We are going again on August 11 for another 5 weeks, so at least this time I will know what I am in for.

So, in between all of my training sessions I have had the pleasure to meet some wonderful new Stampin friends. I have had a couple of workshops the past couple of weeks and one next Friday for a new friend. I cannot wait, the last one and the next one are with crafters who haven't really seen or heard of SU before, I get all excited when I am showing first timers because I love seeing there faces and I love there enthusiasm when they use the products for the first time, fellow demos you will know and love this feeling that I am talking about.

Also, I have locked in a date and time for my Stampin for a Cause Workshop to raise money for The Cancer Council in there annual Girls Night In fund raiser. I will post the official invitation this week so you lovely ladies can book it into your diaries.

Anyway need to get going, thought I would say Hi and that I will be back very soon, my poor craft room hasn't seen much action lately...

Take Care

DT Call

Evening

When I was visiting fellow SU Demo's site I found The Stamp Spot a cute website that is calling for DT members. So I thought why not apply and see how you go... we had to submit a card using the below sketch and send through a little bio about yourself, pretty simple isn't it. So if you have been thinking that this might me something that you would like to give a go why not, applications close on Friday. So here is my card that I submitted. Hope you like it.

Stampin' For a Cause

Hi all,
Thought I would share with you something that I am very proud of.
Cancer of all types has hit my family a few times to many, and I am wanting to do all that I can to help stamp out this disease for good. So I have decided to hold a Stamp a Stack Workshop in coordination with the Girls Night In campaign through The Cancer Council. The even has to be held in October so Stampin' For a Cause will take place on the 17th of October at the Brothers Soccer Club here in Townsville. I have been so very fortunate to get great sponsors on board so quickly especially Stampin' Up! and the Brothers Soccer Club. I will post more information as the event gets closer, but in the mean time I am wanting to start my fundraising straight away, I want to try and raise as much money as possible. If you would like to help us out you can make a direct donation on this link Stampin' For a Cause . Thanks everyone and I know this will be a success.

Have a great rest of your Sunday.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 10

Hi all again :-)

Wow, 3 posts in one day... and still haven't had any sleep, now that's a record! Well I have visited the very creative Makeesha Byl's web page and her sketch challenge has popped up for us to all have a try with. Again I got a little stumped with this one, but once I started it seemed to come together quickly. I have gone safe with this card and used my favourite colour combo PINK... in all shades and accented with Kiwi Kiss, (must I say, I am absolutely loving this years in colour range). The photo's aren't the best as the sun is starting to set. Anywho best be off so I can start dinner, just me tonight DH is at the V8's. Have a fantastic rest of the weekend and I will be back next week.

Wedding Set

Hi again.

Alright, here is the next part of my wedding set, the Bonbonniere . I have folded to make a small envelope come pocket I can't remember where I found the template from but if I do find it I will post a link, but if someone out there can help me out that would be much appreciated, I have used a small Cello bag and in this you can place your sugar coated almonds or even make some earrings for the ladies, I then tied it off with hemp twine and prettied up with pearls and crystals from the Pretties Kit. I hope you like it, next week is the name place card.

Mojo Monday 94

Hi all.

I am absolutely frozen this morning, it is so cold in Townsville brrrrr doesn't help that I have been up since 3am though, my body decided I had enough sleep for one night and got me up. So while I have been wide eyed this morning I have decided to participate in this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge and challenge myself a little, I have gone with a stamp that has never seen ink but I purchased it because I really liked it but have been a little unsure how to use it. It's the gorgeous Neighbourhood Jumbo Wheel from Stampin' Up!. I have teamed it with Best Yet and Cheery Chat also from SU. So I hope you like it...
Stamps: Best Yet, Neighbourhood wheel, Cheery Chat

Would you live anywhere else...

Hi all.

Another gorgeous day in Townsville. Absolutely nothing to do with stampin' but thought I would show you a few snaps of the Townsville Strand this morning. They are having speed boat racing this weekend here and the strand was packed. If you have never been to Towsnville the strand is our main beach, it's about 5km long and is just stunning, heaps of yummy places to eat and drink and also the best kids water park with this infamous big bucket. Hopefully I will be back this afternoon with some creations, but please don't hold your breath we have friends coming over so I have to start on the yummy roast dinner.

Have a great week

Excitement.....

Morning all,
Wow I am totally gobsmacked, my little ol' card that I submitted in for Makeesha's Sketch Challenge has won. I am still trying to pick myself off the floor, it's very exciting to see your name and your designs on other demonstrators web pages and that they have taken the time to come visit my little piece of the www.

Anyway, sometime ago I entered a card in a Mojo Monday sketch challenge, and adored it so much that I have made a wedding set out of it. Each week I will show you a piece of the set. But for today I will start with the Wedding Invitation, a little bright for a wedding but with all white linen I think it wouldn't look to bad. You will get 1 invitation per Rose Red CS (outside) and you will get 3 invites out of the CS and DSP in the middle. So here it is and also a reminder of the card that was my inspiration.
Supplies: Stamps - Fifth Ave Floral
Card Stock - Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Vellum, Whisper White, Raspberry Tart DSP
Accessories - Crystal Effects, Daubers, Pretties Kit, Clear Emboss Powder, Heat Gun
