Inkspirations Inspirations Challenge #14!

Hi again.
With my swaps for Regionals this year I am doing something a little different, I have given myself 1 sketch to work with and 5 different stamp sets. But I am using different colours. Confused!!! well I have 5 cards that I have made up in a colour combo and I have replicated those 5 cards with different colour combos, catching on now. And one of those combos I have decided to use inspiration from Makeesha Byl's Inspiration Challenge, Inspiration for the others I will show soon but if you are close to me you will know one (what am I currently obsessed with?)

So here are my 5 cards, I hope you like them. They are very simple and I have only managed to do simple stamping, paper piercing and a tiny bit of water colouring.

Kylie.
Ps. My craft table amongst all of the confusion.

GNI Projects

Afternoon Ladies,
What a girlie weekend I have had. Hubby is away at the moment so I have been lonely when my mind hasn't been preoccupied but I have had a very girlie girl weekend. Went shopping Sat morning to start my Christmas shopping, but to tell you the truth I wasn't really in the mood to spend money on other people so I bought myself a top, hubby some shorts and did the groceries. Then on the way home dropped into the video store and picked up a couple of movies, Fired Up (being an ex cheerleader I am a sucker for dancing flicks), it was ok but I wouldn't rush out and rent it, then went to the movies with my sister-in-law and seen Fame, this was awesome if you are into Preforming Arts you will love this movie, similar to Step Up. Then I came home went for a Run and a Swim then sat down and watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (again a sucker for Matthew McConaughey). And this morning have been in my craft room trying to get my swaps made for regionals. WOW lucky hubby is away because there is now way I would get away with all this girlie time.

Anyway enough of me babbling on, I have attached our projects that the ladies made at my GNI event last week. Some of the designs of the cards I got inspiration from fellow demos so if one of them is yours a very big THANK-YOU.

Weekend Wrap Up

Hi there
Well my Girls Night In event has been and gone. Saturday was a fantastic day and we raised $930.00 for The Cancer Council Queensland to help assist women with Breast and Gynecological Cancers. That was such a fantastic effort and far exceeded my expectations.

We started the day with registration and then got stuck in to our crafting. I had 3 stations with 10 ladies at each station making 2 cards then when we were done they all moved to the next station, in between I had raffles and lucky door prizes which were kindly donated by Stampin Up and Brumbys Parkside, then we had a yummy afternoon tea then sat down and did our final station. Once we were done each lady gave me back a card, which I am personally delivering to The Cancer Council Townsville so they can give out to friends and family of there patients to help uplift there spirits with a beautiful hand made card. I had so many wonderful helpers on the day, including my Mum Jane, Jeannette Evans my downline, Kerry my Mother-in-law and my 2 sisters-in-laws Kylie and Louella.

Me and my lovely downline Jeannette
I had a couple of display boards up with some of my recent work which the ladies loved, this also helped everyone mingle as they stood around and viewed my work... I always feel a little worried, because we are our biggest critic :-). I had a few different items on sale that were also a hit, I had card and ink packs made up with previous In Colour colours (which went very, very quickly) also I had ribbon packs and Mar's famous Pickles.
My lovely friends getting busy stamping, cutting and sticking
Gail and Louella concentrating very hard
I cannot wait to share with you what we made on the day.
More very busy crafters
Once again a VERY BIG THANK YOU to the 30 lovely ladies that attended my very first fundraiser for The Cancer Council.

Stampin' for a Cause is almost here...

Hi there lovelies.

Well my fundraiser for The Cancer Council is almost here, and boy am I excited. I am just finishing on all of the final touches and have Thursday and Friday off to relax and pack. I have had some amazing sponsors come on board with me, Brumbys Parkside, IGA Kirwan, Brothers Soccer Club and also Stampin' Up!, without these companies generosity I don't know what I would have done. So all I need to do now is sit back and enjoy my day. I will post next week when it is all over our projects and of course the days events. But for those of you who have been so kind in coming I am sure you are going to have a ball. But for those of you that aren't I have a little teaser of what we will be making.

Tri Fold Card

Morning lovely ladies.

Finally the dust has settled here in FNQ (thank goodness) and I have been able to de dust my house.
I know I have been a little quiet of late on the ol' blog but truthfully I have been super super busy. I have been getting ready for my very first fundraising event for The Cancer Council on the 17th of October. I am now officially organised all the packs are made up, Raffles are done, cardstock and ink packs made and also my ribbons are packaged up. But I could not have done all this without the help of 3 very wonderful and supportive ladies, Mellissa Westhorp, Colleen Hull and Kate Hull. They came over here last Sunday for 5.5hrs and we managed to have all 6 projects x 30 cut and packaged. I would still be doing them now if it wasn't for there generosity to give up there Sunday morning for me. So ladies a huge big THANK-YOU.

So now that I have some free time I have tried my hand at the Tri-Fold Card. If you would like to give it a go you can find the instructions here Tri-Fold Card. I have used Walk in the Park DSP and also matching Stamp Set Great Friend, both of these are only available in the Mini Spring Catty until the end of November :-( . I have used coordinating colours, Cameo Coral, So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Basic Grey. I hope you enjoy and why not give it a go yourself I would love to see your creations.
