Sweet Nothings

Morning all

Have just come home from the markets and thought I would share with you all a quick 8x8 scrap page layout that I am showing at my next workshop. No stamps at all were used with this, it all came out of the Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin' Kit. I hope you enjoy.

Scrap Layout

Evening all.

I have been a little MIA lately, I had a bit of a melt down last Thursday and have been trying to pick myself up again... story goes like this. My DH and I went to the Home Hill Growers Races on Saturday, and I thought that I had all of my outfit organised, I was going to wear what I wore last year to DH work race event, so I came home from work on Thursday afternoon (after nipping out to buy just a pair of shoes to match, because I have wore the heal of the ones I was going to wear) anyway, so I come home had a shower and tried on my races outfit (that I wore only 9 months ago) to my disgust found that it was now skin tight, but that never has stopped anyone before has it. So I get it up over my hips then onto my shoulders do my zip up (very stretchy dress) then breath a sigh of relief and as I am breathing out my zip pops (arghhhh) so this is when the crisis starts, I can't get the thing off because it now doesn't fit over my head can't get the zip down because it has busted. So I get onto the phone to DH (he is still at work) "THERE IS A CRISIS AT HOME", he thinking that the place is on fire or the dog is missing, "what's wrong", "MY BEAUTIFUL CUE DRESS THAT I HAVE ONLY WORE ONCE DOESN'T FIT AND THE ZIP IS BUSTED AND I CAN'T GET IT OFF" after he laughs at me said "that's OK darling we will go tonight and buy you another one" I was a little calmer. BUT... I finally get the thing off and try on a back up dress (a girl can never have to many dresses), the backup doesn't fit also, so we went out and bought a new dress, shoes and jewelery. So much for me thinking it will be a cheap weekend. So long story short guess who is on a diet...... So this week has been very busy preparing food and doing a little exercise. Now ladies can you see my drama. But in the end we had a fantastic day at the races and I also had a couple of wins.

So for a post. I showed you earlier my take on Shelli's card she made at convention, well I have also created an 8x8 scrap layout, which my lovely ladies who came to the May workshop made.

I have used Pink Pirouette as my base, Kraft, Very Vanilla and card stock, then complimented with Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip ink and used the ever so versatile Versamark with my Pastels, I have also accented with Pink Pirouette in the flowers, and also cannot forget the Pretties Kit and White Grosgrain ribbon. This layout really shows off how beautiful the Friends 24-7 and matching wheel are. Love it, this is definitely my favourite set out of the new catty.

I hope you enjoy... Until next time and hopefully a few kilos lighter...

Evening all,
I had the most fantastic day today, started off with my Martha Stewart morning, then went next door for a candle party (purchased a beautiful set of scented candles and melts) then it was off to Celena's workshop, where I met some lovely ladies and young girls and we had a few hours of stamping and chatting, then came home and my beautiful Niece, Nephew, Sister and Brother in-law an my niece and nephews cousin all came over for a swim. In that hubby has cooked a roast for me... told you a fantastic day.
Anyway, I have below attached what we made at my very first in home workshop I had 11 lovely ladies attend and we made 4 projects, Card, 8x8 Scrap page and decorated a gift bag and made a tag. Hi there,
So I have gone through some of my Cards and Scrapbook pages that I have made in the last 4 or so months and have decided to share them with you all. I am starting to get quite a collection together which is nice, it gives me some sense of achievement knowing where I had very first started from to now. Wow, I am not going to share my first few projects with you though they are very basic and how do I say it not straight, not cut properly, not stamped properly everything you get with a first time project... What I have done here is again an 8x8 layout and matching card. I like working with 8x8 because they tend not to overwhelm me, and if you do like to do 12x12 just mount on to some 12x12 card or paper and you have a great start to a page.

Tip: See how I have created the card to be very similar to the page well, you can use this trick if you are out of ideas or lacking inspiration. See on my card how I have the Close to Coco strip on the left hand side, look on the layout and you will see that the mounting is the same and also where the sentiment is, is where my photo is... get me. I'll try again, see how the basic layout is the same, Pixie Pink background, then Kraft and Close to Cocoa mounted up (both have it) then photo corner punch on the side with rhinestone brad also making an appearance on both... catching on now. You can use this tip for most of your work, start with a simple layout then add your colour, stamps and embellishments. So for the pictures, I hope you enjoy and I haven't confused you to much.
Materials Used:
C/S - Pixie Pink, Close to Coca, Kraft, Whisper White
Inks - Pixie Pink, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel
Stamp Sets - Priceless & Life Definitions
Other - Rhinestone Brads, Photo Corner Punch, Cherished Memories Rub Ons, Mat Pack, Signo Gel Pen
Notice what the page and card is on - Shhh. the new IBC 09~10.

Hi again.

So for Celena's workshop I have decided to go with an Easter theme (this year is really flying) I am going to be showing the ladies how to create an 8x8 Scrapbook page, also they will be making there very own Easter goodie bag. I have only used A Good Egg stamp set which is in the New IBC P.35 and as for the colours I have gone with So Saffron, Sage Shadow, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink for the CS, also So Saffron, Sage Shadow and Versamark™ inks, a little Dazzling Diamonds, 1" Round punch, Photo Corners punch and the mat pack. Viola... an easy 8x8 page and matching goodie bag. Enjoy, and I would love to see your own Easter creations.
