Mojo Monday Week 186

Hi I just love this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, it is so versatile. For a while now I have wanted to do a plain Black and White/Vanilla card, I tried it on this one but found that I needed another colour to break it up so I used Crumb Cake (Kraft). I am determined to only use the 2 colours, so maybe I might give the sketch another go later in the week. I hope you enjoy.

Supplies

Stamps: Dreams du Jour

Card: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Love Letter DSP

Inks: Black Stazon, Crumb Cake

Accessories: Crumb Cake Grosgrain Ribbon, Half Pearl, Hemp Twine, 1" Circle Punch

Downtime Cards

Hi all.

In my downtime a few weeks ago I made a few cards, I have already posted a couple and this is the last of them that I thought you would like to see. The first card I got my inspiration from our monthly newsletter that us demonstrators receive from Stampin' Up!. I get so excited when this comes, because it is filled with so much useful information, and knew that I had to give this ago. What I have done is mix my picture stamps with sayings and punched them out with my 1" circle punch, and teamed it up with matching inks. I just love this idea.
The next card is quite simple to do and is quite effective. I have stamped my Crazy for Cupcakes stamp onto Water Colour C/S in Staz on Black ink and coloured in with my markers and Aqua Painter. for the outer of the card I have stuck to clean simple straight lines with no distressing at all, I think that the Water Colour section of the card is enough texture.
I would love to hear what you think.

Take care and happy stamping

Kylie.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 13

Hi all.
Wow, I really am first off the mark today. I need to prepare for my Girls Day Workshop that is only 4 weeks away but I have got a little side tracked this morning and instead of doing preparation I have made a card for Makeesha's sketch challenge. I have used one of my favourite colour combs with this sketch along with my fave DSP at the moment Walk in the Park. I had a little trouble with this card because I decided to clear emboss down one side with my jumbo wheel and of course when you emboss it seems to distort the card so my card in real life is a little wonky... nothing that a few catalogues stacked on it won't fix...

Enjoy

Inkspirations Colour Challenge # 9

Hi
Another beautiful day here in sunny Townsville, I have again participated in another challenge this time it is the colour challenge from Makeesha Byl. This card was a little hard to get started with, but once I got going it all fell into place. I would say this card is masculine, it would make for a nice Anniversary Card or you could even adapt it for a Mothers Day/Fathers Day card. The colours we had to work with were Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, Whisper White. I hope you enjoy.
Supplies:
Stamps: Dreams du Jour, Best Yet
Inks: Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, Versamerk, Whisper White Craft Pad
Accessories: Vellum, Dazzling Diamonds, White Embossing Powder, Heat and Stick, Heat Gun, Pretties, DSP

Ann's Challenge

Morning all,

Another beautiful morning here in sunny Townsville, just got back from the markets to pick up some fresh fruit and veg (still on the diet, but shhh... had a little blow out last night). Well I have officially gone challenge mad, I have participated in Ann Craig's colour challenge (Ann is my Uplines, Upline). This is Ann's first challenge, and I have found it quite fun to do. The colours that we had to use were, Pink, Amethyst, Celery and Vanilla. So again I have made a card and used only the Dreams du Jour stamp set, I absolutely love this set for the price it is so versatile. Anywho here is my card, I hope you like it. Ohh almost forgot, I have also used Tea Party DSP, and Dazzling Diamonds.
