jac-inks Challenge #3

Hello.
I have made two cards this week for Jac-Inks fortnightly challenge, this week it was an inspiration challenge, and I am sure you will agree that it is a beautiful picture. These cards are a little different than what I usually create but I needed to have a few kids cards in my stash. I hope you like them.
Inspiration

Close up - Card 1

I created the sand using River Rock Refill Ink and mixed it with Dazzling Diamonds glitter, I think it worked quite well and it gave me the effect that I was looking for.

Card 1
Supplies Card 1:
Stamps: Fifth Ave Floral, Well Scripted
Inks: Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Taken with Teal
Card Stock: Rose Red, Whisper White, Rose Red
Accessories: Owl Punch, Hemp Twine, River Rock Refill Ink, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
With the second card after I made it I realised that the colours didn't quite match the inspiration but I thought I would share as I love the concept of a little gift in our cards. This card comes with a bookmark. I love the little owls and the way that you can dress them up, I have dressed these little ones as hula girls, love the coconut bra :-)

Fifth Ave Floral - Water Colour

Hi there.
Cyclone Ului as been and gone, thank goodness we never had any major winds here. It seems every time Townsville has a cyclone threat the city goes into utter chaos. But better be safe than sorry...

Last post I mentioned that I have been having a bit of down time and in that time I was able to make a few creations on my own without the pressure of having to pump out new material. Below is one of my cards that I made with my new purchases being, the Aqua Painters and the Markers. I received these goodies when I became a Senior Supervisor, Stampin' Up! generously gave me a $200 product voucher, which was fantastic timing. I hope you enjoy my card and I will be back at the end of the week with more of my Lul Creations.Take Care

Inkspirations Inspirations Challenge #14!

Hi again.
With my swaps for Regionals this year I am doing something a little different, I have given myself 1 sketch to work with and 5 different stamp sets. But I am using different colours. Confused!!! well I have 5 cards that I have made up in a colour combo and I have replicated those 5 cards with different colour combos, catching on now. And one of those combos I have decided to use inspiration from Makeesha Byl's Inspiration Challenge, Inspiration for the others I will show soon but if you are close to me you will know one (what am I currently obsessed with?)

So here are my 5 cards, I hope you like them. They are very simple and I have only managed to do simple stamping, paper piercing and a tiny bit of water colouring.

Take Care
Kylie.
Ps. My craft table amongst all of the confusion.

GNI Projects

Afternoon Ladies,
What a girlie weekend I have had. Hubby is away at the moment so I have been lonely when my mind hasn't been preoccupied but I have had a very girlie girl weekend. Went shopping Sat morning to start my Christmas shopping, but to tell you the truth I wasn't really in the mood to spend money on other people so I bought myself a top, hubby some shorts and did the groceries. Then on the way home dropped into the video store and picked up a couple of movies, Fired Up (being an ex cheerleader I am a sucker for dancing flicks), it was ok but I wouldn't rush out and rent it, then went to the movies with my sister-in-law and seen Fame, this was awesome if you are into Preforming Arts you will love this movie, similar to Step Up. Then I came home went for a Run and a Swim then sat down and watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (again a sucker for Matthew McConaughey). And this morning have been in my craft room trying to get my swaps made for regionals. WOW lucky hubby is away because there is now way I would get away with all this girlie time.

Anyway enough of me babbling on, I have attached our projects that the ladies made at my GNI event last week. Some of the designs of the cards I got inspiration from fellow demos so if one of them is yours a very big THANK-YOU.
Card 1 - For YouCard 2 - 5th Ave FloralCard 3 - Thanks so MuchCard 4 - Merry ChristmasCard 5 - Happy Birthday Card 6 - Get Well Wishes
As you can see I used allot of Pink, but being Breast Cancer Awareness Month I thought it was only fitting. I hope you liked our creations.
Take Care
Kylie.

Bugger..

Bugger, bugger, bugger.

You know last post where I said that I would get a couple of challenges done etc, well I didn't get around to doing any of it, and I am so dirty on myself. I really wanted to participate in the Delicious Diva's first Challenge but missed out on that one and also make up a card for Mojo Monday but missed that one to. Never mind, but I did get a few jobs out of the way. Like making up 3 cards for the Stampin' for a Cause workshop, yeah.... 3 to go.

Mel and Jeannette came over home on the weekend and we had our very first team meeting, which went well, plus some exciting news to come out of that which I will post soon. I was a little nervous but was well prepared so it all went according to plan, plus more importantly Mel and Jeannette finally got to meet each other over coffee and cake. Jeannette had to rush off so Mel and I made a card. I love it when we can get together and get a little crafty, (how times change, it was only a few years ago that we used to get together to dance now we are little Martha Stewart's... lol). You can see the card below that we made, this is the card that I have as my make and takes for this months workshops plus a box in a bag and pyramid card for demonstration.
Also I gave Jeannette a little thank-you stamp set (Spring Song) for joining my team and decorated a gift sack from Stampin Up with the gorgeous Bella Blue DSP. Jeannette loved her gift as she hadn't purchased that stamp set yet, phew...
So I have been busy, getting done the more important jobs and now that they are out of the way hopefully I can start to participate in my challenges again.

Wedding Set

Hi again.

Alright, here is the next part of my wedding set, the Bonbonniere . I have folded to make a small envelope come pocket I can't remember where I found the template from but if I do find it I will post a link, but if someone out there can help me out that would be much appreciated, I have used a small Cello bag and in this you can place your sugar coated almonds or even make some earrings for the ladies, I then tied it off with hemp twine and prettied up with pearls and crystals from the Pretties Kit. I hope you like it, next week is the name place card.

Excitement.....

Morning all,
Wow I am totally gobsmacked, my little ol' card that I submitted in for Makeesha's Sketch Challenge has won. I am still trying to pick myself off the floor, it's very exciting to see your name and your designs on other demonstrators web pages and that they have taken the time to come visit my little piece of the www.

Anyway, sometime ago I entered a card in a Mojo Monday sketch challenge, and adored it so much that I have made a wedding set out of it. Each week I will show you a piece of the set. But for today I will start with the Wedding Invitation, a little bright for a wedding but with all white linen I think it wouldn't look to bad. You will get 1 invitation per Rose Red CS (outside) and you will get 3 invites out of the CS and DSP in the middle. So here it is and also a reminder of the card that was my inspiration.
Supplies: Stamps - Fifth Ave Floral
Card Stock - Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Vellum, Whisper White, Raspberry Tart DSP
Accessories - Crystal Effects, Daubers, Pretties Kit, Clear Emboss Powder, Heat Gun

Flower Pot

Hi all
Another gorgeous sunny day here in Townsville, Queensland, wouldn't live anywhere else... I have come across a few Flower Pot cards and thought I might give it ago myself. I found a very helpful tutorial on Andrea Walford's web site Sunny Stampin where she has gone to the trouble of loading a pdf template for us. So without further ado here is my take on the Flower Pot Card...
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Trendy Trees
Inks: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Versamark
Card Stock: Urban Garden DS, Whisper White, Shara Sand
Other: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Scallop Edge punch, daubers
Tip: To create a water like edge run your image over Versamark and sprinkle with clear emboss powder and heat.

Mojo Monday 89

Afternoon,

Wow, I loved this sketch from Mojo Monday, will definitely be using this one again. I am really enjoying doing the challenges, love making stuff for the fun of it, for some reason my mind wonders and inspiration comes a little easier than pressuring the poor thing for inspiration (making sense, if not it is Friday night and has been a big week). With this card I have used my freebie stamp set that I was luckily enough to win at convention, “Fifth Avenue Floral” and teamed it up with Raspberry Tart DSP, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Kiwi Kiss. I have also used the pretties kit to accent, white grosgrain ribbon (and inked with daubers) and Crystal Effects to get water droplets. I hope you enjoy and look forward to next weeks challenge.
Ohh, if anyone participates in other challenges would you mind give me the addresses, I would love to participate and get different ideas.

I hope you enjoy.
