Inkspirations Colour Challenge # 9

Hi
Another beautiful day here in sunny Townsville, I have again participated in another challenge this time it is the colour challenge from Makeesha Byl. This card was a little hard to get started with, but once I got going it all fell into place. I would say this card is masculine, it would make for a nice Anniversary Card or you could even adapt it for a Mothers Day/Fathers Day card. The colours we had to work with were Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, Whisper White. I hope you enjoy.
Supplies:
Stamps: Dreams du Jour, Best Yet
Inks: Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, Versamerk, Whisper White Craft Pad
Accessories: Vellum, Dazzling Diamonds, White Embossing Powder, Heat and Stick, Heat Gun, Pretties, DSP

Sweet Nothings

Morning all

Have just come home from the markets and thought I would share with you all a quick 8x8 scrap page layout that I am showing at my next workshop. No stamps at all were used with this, it all came out of the Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin' Kit. I hope you enjoy.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #9

Hi again.

Wow, I am sure making up for lost time today. I have decided to participate in another sketch challenge this time by the very creative Makeesha Byl. I can't seem to break away from the earthy tones mixed with blue, considering I don't particularly like blue (my fave is pink). Anyway here is my card.

Stamps: Echoes of Kindness. Inks: Staz on Black, Not Quite Navy. Card Stock: Bella Blue DS, Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla. Other: Vintage Brads, White Grosgrain, Hemp Twine

Flower Pot

Hi all
Another gorgeous sunny day here in Townsville, Queensland, wouldn't live anywhere else... I have come across a few Flower Pot cards and thought I might give it ago myself. I found a very helpful tutorial on Andrea Walford's web site Sunny Stampin where she has gone to the trouble of loading a pdf template for us. So without further ado here is my take on the Flower Pot Card...
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Trendy Trees
Inks: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Versamark
Card Stock: Urban Garden DS, Whisper White, Shara Sand
Other: Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Scallop Edge punch, daubers
Tip: To create a water like edge run your image over Versamark and sprinkle with clear emboss powder and heat.

3 in one day

Me again.

Wow, 3 in one day. I am very excited, I found out this week that one of my first challenge submissions has won, little ol' me in Townsville has won a competition. The very lovely and talented Ann Craig has picked my entry, I was thrown out of my comfort zone with the colours on this card but obviously it has worked.

Also I was talking to Ann today and she and her team is off to the Canberra Craft Fair in August, so if you are in Canberra in August please do me a favour and stop by Ann's stall, you will be very surprised as she does some beautiful work. Contact me if you would like more information on the fair or if you are in the Canberra area and would like to contact Ann.

Then there were three....

Hi again.

I am very pleased to welcome Jeannette Evans to my stampin' team. Jeannette is a very lovely lady who found me via the demonstrators website last year and has been a very good customer of mine, we only officially met at my May Workshop.

She is a very lovely, sweet and caring lady who will love absolutely enjoy what Stampin' Up! will bring her, there are the friendships, business opportunities, road trips and most of all satisfaction of doing something that you love and as a bonus getting paid for it.

I officially welcome Jeannette and look forward to many more coffee outings and stamping sessions.

MIA

Hi all,

Very sorry for no posts lately, but June is a very busy month in the Maher household. We have our wedding anniversary, DH sent to work (isn't he learning) a beautiful box of flowers, and we went out to a lovely restaurant for dinner that nigh (very spoilt), and it's DH Birthday. Every year Travis knows what I am buying him, he snoops around and finds all of my hiding spots, but this year was a pearler. He had no clue, I bought the usual work socks and shorts (of course he found them) but the real surprise was yet to come. So I made him a Birthday card and in it printed a little ticket to say, YOU ARE GOING TO SEE AC/DC LIVE IN CONCERT... when he was reading it, it wasn't registering until he said does this mean I am going to see AC/DC, and I said "yep, you have 2 tickets so I hope you take me" the rest is history, he had a fantastic day, we had a party here at home for him on the Sunday and all the family came over, but next year is the big one, the big 30 for both of us. Yikes....

Mojo Monday 89

Afternoon,

Wow, I loved this sketch from Mojo Monday, will definitely be using this one again. I am really enjoying doing the challenges, love making stuff for the fun of it, for some reason my mind wonders and inspiration comes a little easier than pressuring the poor thing for inspiration (making sense, if not it is Friday night and has been a big week). With this card I have used my freebie stamp set that I was luckily enough to win at convention, “Fifth Avenue Floral” and teamed it up with Raspberry Tart DSP, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Kiwi Kiss. I have also used the pretties kit to accent, white grosgrain ribbon (and inked with daubers) and Crystal Effects to get water droplets. I hope you enjoy and look forward to next weeks challenge.
Ohh, if anyone participates in other challenges would you mind give me the addresses, I would love to participate and get different ideas.

I hope you enjoy.
